Super Bowl Memories

Arthur Whittington

I remember it like it was yesterday. I went on the field to warm up. I looked around and got so nervous that I got sick to my stomach and had to leave the field. I laid all my pregame on that turf. I couldn’t warm up. I was in the locker room until the introductions – praying and hoping we didn’t have to receive the football.

We did end up receiving but they kicked the ball to another player and they hit him so hard that they broke his arm. That messed me up for the whole game. Luckily my teammates didn’t know how sick I was – but I hung in there.
